The cruise, of about 900NM, is expected to take eight days in good conditions. In reality, it will probably take about two weeks.

The crew consists of:
Tony Cassidy (Port Fairy),
John Neilson
(Williamstown),
Ian Anderson
(Port Fairy) and
Jackson Urie
(Frankston).

The crew will be keeping you updated on their voyage; internet access permitting of course.

HISTORY

SYONA was launched on 28 September 1960 after four years of construction by Peter Docker and Ron Swanson in Sydney, NSW. She is built to Robert Clark

CRUISING HISTORY

After restoration SYONA was sailed to Melbourne in 1999, where she spent a year undergoing an internal refit. She was then sailed back to Sydney (weathering 48 hours of gales in Bass Strait without fuss) and on an extended 3000NM cruise to the Whitsundays, finally returning to Brisbane in late 2000.
